Ask the Clínica da Charneca about current contracts with insurance companies.

What diagnostics and therapies do you offer?

We cover the entire spectrum of modern dermatology. Everything will be explained to you during your consultation. This includes classic, surgical and aesthetic dermatology as well as laser skin therapy.

How can I make an appointment?

Appointments are made directly with the reception of the “Clinica da Charneca”.

Which patients are treated?

In principle, patients of all ages can present themselves. However, dermatologists usually treat children from school age onwards. Younger patients are usually treated by a pediatrician. However, children with port-wine stains or haemangiomas for laser treatment are treated in the first few months of life. It is essential to see a dermatologist as early as possible.

How can I pay?

Cash or by card. All services must be paid for immediately after the consultation. A bank transfer is not possible. We ask for your understanding.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available directly next to the clinic.

How does a beauty treatment work?

If you are interested in an aesthetic treatment, we cordially invite you to arrange a consultation. During this appointment, you can discuss your personal wishes and concerns with our doctor. During the consultation, you will receive comprehensive advice on the desired treatment and a cost estimate. Depending on the time remaining, the treatment can be carried out immediately or at a later date. Thank you for your understanding.

How does laser treatment work?

Laser therapy is a treatment using light, specifically different wavelengths of light. Skin changes can be treated, for example, with visible light or infrared light. All lasers have in common that they bundle light energy and use it gently yet effectively to treat different specific target molecules in the skin. These targets can include melanin, hemoglobin, or water. A single laser, therefore, has only a limited range of treatment options. That is why at Laserdermatology Portugal, you will find multiple lasers for different indications. Each laser therapy is preceded by a thorough skin analysis, and the treatment is discussed in detail to address your individual needs. The recovery time after laser therapy is often only a few hours to a few days; this will also be discussed with you, along with how the therapy can be integrated into your daily routine and life. All laser therapies are performed only by trained personnel, primarily by Dr. Stephan Große-Büning, who is certificated by DALM (Diploma in Aestetic Lasermedicine, Germany) and also a lecturer for this study program.

Can children also be treated with the laser?

This requires the consent of the parents, who are of course present at the consultation and are informed in detail about the benefits and risks. From a technical point of view, it is not a problem to treat children.
